Okos Group, Inc. specializes in Community development and management specific to Market Research and Marketing applications.

Our Approach

Generally, research companies focus on either custom panels or communities.  An Okos Community brings together the benefits of both qualitative and quantitative  methodologies to create the best in breed of Online Communities.

We work  hand in hand with our clients to develop the community focused on the business need at hand.  We will develop both the qualitative and quantitative pieces of the Community to achieve the goals established for the engagement.

The Qualitative Environment

The qualitative environment consists of a web 2.0 site where prospective members based on the client’s target are asked to join and engage in various qualitative events.  Events consist of participating in bulletin board discussions, online focus groups, commenting on blogs.  This qualitative environment is used for both idea generation and research for quick reads on immediate need business questions.  Members are highly engaged in the community and interact directly with others through the community site.  Ideas are refined and “winners” selected to move to the traditional quantitative testing ground for validation.

Quantitative Validation

Once ideas are generated and refined through the qualitative community, the ideas and concepts are validated through the quantitative community base.  This quantitative community is segregated from the qualitative environment as to not introduce bias into the validation.  Members of the quantitative community do not interact with each other and are managed in a controlled environment.  Only the researcher interacts with these members generally through online surveys.

Benefits of an Okos Community

Reduce your costs and timing for both your qualitative and quantitative research needs.  Gone are the days of travelling to in person focus group sessions which cost tens of thousands of dollars to recruit, manage and report.

Ensure your qualitative data is validated.  The ideas generated and refined by the handful of members is now confirmed by a statistically significant sample.

Reduce the timing of your research by having your own community ready and waiting, and more importantly, willing to interact with you on your business questions.
